ORC Week 6 Hallelujah
Welcome to Week 6 of the One Room Challenge! Today would have been the final reveal but due to recent natural disasters in so many states leading up to the ORC, many participants have had to endure unusual circumstances that have impacted their projects. In the spirit of being able to create a stunning space in a friendly, non competitive environment, Linda of Calling it Home has graciously granted everyone an extra week to reveal our designs. And thank heavens she did, cause this chick needs all the extra time she can get!
If you read last weeks update, you'll remember that my wallpaper was stuck in Europe and I was in a slight panic over finding a new source for this backordered beauty. Well the wallpaper gods have answered my prayers!!! I found an Anthropologie in New York with 2 rolls in stock!!! Hallelujah!!!! As long as FedEx doesn't mess this up, we might just be able to get the bathroom complete in the nick of time! My design has evolved ever so slightly over the past 6 weeks, which happens in the design world ALL THE TIME. But without those real life challenges of a drain line leak, an out of stock sink, or backordered wallpaper, well I think things would be rather boring. Don't you? People tend to think Interior Designers just make things beautiful, which indeed we do. But we are so much more than that. We are quick thinkers, problem solvers, heck even marriage counselors in some cases. I am just so happy to be a part of this wonderfully encouraging, talented community. And with that I will leave you a sneak peak at the one roll of wallpaper that is installed and ask that you all will say a prayer for me that the other two rolls come this weekend! Remember how uggggly it looked before the One Room Challenge?
