How to Cozy up Your Home for Fall
Bring on the chunky sweaters, crunchy leaves and pumpkin spice everything. Fall has officially arrived which means my mind is on a constant buzz with with decor ideas for my home. Transitioning your home for the approaching season doesn't have to cost you a fortune. One of my favorite ways to cozy up my home is simply switching out a few accessories with warmer hues and lots of texture. Throw in a few baby pumpkins and bam your cozy oasis awaits. Here are my top 5 ways to help cozy up your home for Fall.
-
Chunk it up
Switch out your summer textiles with some warm fuzzy pillows and throws. Velvets, knits and fur are my favorite go to's when I want to add more texture to any space. Sofas are an obvious place to layer, but your chairs and beds could use some layering too!

Add Organic Touches
White baby pumpkins are a crowd favorite, but don't forget all the other seasonal plants you can incorporate to jus up your home. Eucalyptus, creeping rosemary and succulents add life to your space, while bittersweet and gourds create gorgeous tablescape.

Freshen up your Fireplace
I have a confession to make. Mantels used to scare me. Theres something about the whole "focal point" of the room hype that just made me overthink things way too much. This year I have made an executive decision that simple is best. Whether its a fresh stack of birch logs or softly lit candles, add subtle touches to the fireplace without going too overboard. A simple juju hat or round mirror never hurts.

Mums the Word
Is it just me or are front porches more fun to decorate than the house? I may be biased since I have an endless supply of Mums and Pansies to display. Perks of being married to a greenhouse grower. But really, nothing beats a front step layered with Mums, Pumpkins and lanterns.

5. Add Subdued Hues
I can't believe I am actually saying this, but time to put away the pink pastels for a warmer color palette. Indigo is having a major moment lately. It plays perfectly with burnt orange or sage green. I like to keep my spaces mostly neutral so its easy to switch out accent colors with your accessories.
