How We Prep For Instal Days

There's no day like an install day! We LIVE for install days over here at Valerie Wheeler Interiors. There is nothing like seeing the look on our clients faces when a project has come to completion, and their dream home can officially be a reality. For todays blog, we are sharing how we prep a home for the big reveal! Pro tip: use some of these tricks for when hosting to trick your guests into thinking your home is picture perfect at all times!

Fresh flowers are a must! Nothing makes a home feel more alive than freshly cut flowers. Not only are they photogenic and great for adding texture and a natural element to a shot, but they're a great gift to leave behind for your client! We love this oversized temple jar from Le Fleur Farms.

There is an art to the perfect karate chopped pillow. When staging a home for photos or the big reveal, we want the pillows to look full, fluffy and inviting. Rotate your pillow all while fluffing the sides. Once it is sufficiently full, place it where you want it, and give it a final chop in the top middle area. This creates that slouchy yet crisp look that we love!
