Tips For An Intimate And Festive Thanksgiving Dinner
Not sure if you guys have noticed, but 2020 has been wild to say the least. And with the Holiday season quickly approaching, we are all going to need to switch things up when it comes to how we celebrate! While the holidays won't look the same this year as years past, we are going to give some tips for how to make the most of the holidays with your immediate family.
MAKE THIS YEAR SPECIAL
We're pulling inspo from our shoot with Annapolis Home last holiday season. While we were hoping to do all the fun and festive holiday things for the blog, 2020 had other plans for us. Since the holidays will be way more low key and intimate this year, we are going to make it extra special where it counts; around the table! We suggest going outside of your comfort zone and make your table scape extra luxurious and special this year. Try some greenery along your table runner, indulge in some textured linen or velvet napkins, and play with some dried produce like we did.
PLAY SOME GAMES
Take advantage of a smaller group at your Thanksgiving festivities by playing some games. Large groups can make games tricky and time consuming so this year we will for sure be pulling out the Cards Against Humanity and Pictionary!
MAKE A THANKFUL BOARD
For years my family has had a tradition of posting a "Thankful Board" for people to fill out throughout the night. After everyone has been stuffed with stuffing and before the food coma hits, we read off what everyone is thankful for. Sometimes lists can get deep and sometimes it's just being thankful for the Real Housewives, but this year especially it's important to focus on gratitude!
STAY POSITIVE!!
Yes, this holiday season will be different and maybe not in the best way. But what a great excuse to focus on what really matters this time of year, being with the ones you love. There's always something to be thankful for. We hope everyone has a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
