A Fall Color Story

Recently I had the privilege of attending The Scout Guide launch party at the Foxfire Farm in Monkton, MD. Steve Gambrel is the designer behind the stunning transformation of this historic breeding and training farm. The details of this home are absolutely mouth watering. I left inspired in so many ways to push the boundaries in my own designs. One thing that stood out to me in particular was the way the color palette of this home paid heritage to this homes history, but still breathed new life in this modern day space. Take a look at this home's exquisite details that inspired this month's color story. Cognac brown is my color of choice this season. Try mixing into your wardrobe with a soft brown cardigan or drape a wool blanket over an armchair. This color looks just as stunning in interiors as it does in your closet. While it may be a bold choice for an entire look, it pairs perfectly with black, raw neutrals or burnt orange.
