How To Freshen Up Your Home For The New Year

We're still riding that productive wave that a new year brings. We'll fall off soon enough don't worry. But with the new year comes the desire to start fresh! Everything from the foods we eat, to how we move our bodies, and the spaces we live in needs to be revamped in the initial weeks of the new year. Here are some ways that we are planning on organizing our homes for 2021!

As you guys know, The Kind-Of-Coastal-Cape-Cod is the never-ending project. But we have made some major headway in 2020 and have no plans on slowing down in 2021. We are installing a mudroom off of our garage. It's a pretty high-traffic area where things like shoes and bags get tossed. But with the installation of cubbies and hooks, our lives will be a whole lot more neat and tidy!

A space that gets a lot of use but not much love is the laundry room. We love the idea of making it a pretty and inviting space that you'll enjoy being in. Add floating shelves above the units for added organization space and visual interest.

Oh the things we would do for our pantry to look like this. But hey, maybe 2021 will be the year we stop treating our pantry like a bottomless pit and show it some TLC. The collection that the Container Store did with our faves at The Home Edit would do just the trick!

One area where we do thrive is the closet! We make it a priority to purge every season. Mainly to make room for more clothes but don't judge us. We love to consign our gently used clothing, shoes and accessories at our local consignment shop. If you are in the Annapolis/Severna Park area, check out Savvy Consignment!
