Milky Blues and Subtle Hues Paint Color Guide

If you have been following along on our Insta Stories (which you should be) you'd know that we have recently been promoting our Paint Consultation Service. We have been hard at work figuring out how we can better serve homeowners near and far. Using your feedback from 2019 we decided that most people who follow our work feel like hiring an interior designer is just out of reach for them. That is simply not the true! We all deserve a gorgeous home! While hiring a interior designer for the full design of your home may not be in the budget, you can still hire us to solve one time problems on the spot! Did you know that color is one of the biggest triggers of your emotional response to space? Color can impact moods, feelings and emotions that directly influence your actions when you are in a space. If color has such an impact on your well being than you better make sure your home makes you feel good! Unfortunately many homeowners have trouble finding the perfect paint color and often select the wrong color 2-3 times before they just give up and live with something they don't love! We have always included paint consultations to our full service clients. This year we decided it's time to make this an affordable one time service for anyone who needs help picking the perfect paint color for their home!

Here is how it works! For $250, we will come to your home with our wide variety of paint swatches from Benjamin Moore and Farrow&Ball to study your space and it's lighting to pick the perfect paint colors for you and your home. We get to know you, your color preferences and how your home currently makes you feel. Let us take on the daunting task (not really, we love it) of looking at paint swatches that all start to look the same after hours on end.

Since diving into this new promotion, we gathered some of our favorite paint colors that we will be incorporating into the home office and The Kind-Of-Coastal-Cape Cod! What better way to share our color expertise than try it in our own homes first?

Here are some of the colors that we are planning on using for the office. You'll have to stay tuned to see exactly how were planning on using them!

You know that we find a ton of design inspiration scrolling through Pinterest and gawking at our fellow designers beautiful work. Below we have some inspo pics of our color story in action.

This kitchen gives us major Nancy Meyers vibes. If you don't know who that is please do yourself a favor and go watch It's Complicated and Something's Gotta Give for some serious kitchen goals.

We are loving the slate blue trend going around, especially for cabinets. Its the perfect backdrop for aged french brass hardware.

There will be lots of French Blues in The Kind-Of-Coastal-Cape Cod. We are currently designing a window seat flanked with two built-in towers like this gorgeous mud room above. How whimsical is this color paired with a chinoiserie print?

Reimagine the classics with a milky white and French blue color palette. We love to use this milky hue, especially with millwork to showcase the intricate craftsmanship.

Don't be afraid to mix things up. We sure aren't! The best designs mix colors, textures and finishes for a truly bespoke look.
