How To Style a Bar Cart
It's officially the weekend so a cheers is in order! Now where'd we put that bottle of champagne? Oh right, on our perfectly styled bar cart. This week we're giving you our tips and tricks to style your own bar cart. Whether or not you partake in a cocktail or two (or three), bar carts are a great way to fill up some wall space and serve as a focal point for any party. So drink in all the goodness we're about to serve up this weekend.
Keep it simple! You can always opt out of using your bar cart as a bar. Bar carts are the perfect size to fill in empty wall space. Top it off with some fresh flowers and a cute ceramic bowl like we did at our most recent install. And stay tuned for the full reveal! You're going to love it!
Little touches make a huge impact! Whether it's draping a cheeky hand towel on the handle, a unique bottle opener, or playful pineapple shot glasses, we love how our design assistant Jane styled her cart for the weekend.
Think outside the box (or cart). For your next dinner party, designate a long table for all of your cocktails and beverages. Make sure there are a variety of tumblers and stemware and don't be afraid to layer up on the texture with wicker and rattan. We always like to add life to our decor with fresh fruit or potted plants.
Layer, layer, and did we mention layer? This round bar cart adds some architectural interest in an other wise unused space. This is the perfect example of how to create height and dimension by (say it with us!) LAYERING. Layer some vintage books, layer your coasters, and layer your bottles for sure!
Top it off! Add a cocktail station on top of your dining room buffet. It is a great way to make all of that surface space super functional when entertaining. Just a heads up, we're planning on using this trick in one of our upcoming installs and it may include a favorite recipe for you.
