HOW TO STYLE YOUR FRONT PORCH FOR FALL!

We can officially scream from the rooftops that IT'S FALL Y'ALL! And in the colder months we thrive here at Valerie Wheeler Interiors. We have a bunch of holiday content in the works, so buckle up! To start us off, Porch Decor. Yes, we are interior designers and much of what we specialize in is the inside of our clients homes, but curb appeal is so important and is often overlooked. Adding some small seasonal touches will make a huge impact and make you feel all happy inside when walking up to your humble abode after a long day of sipping pumpkin spiced lattes and apple picking (BECAUSE FALL!!).  Okay, okay thats how we wish we could spend all our days but whatever. Follow along to see how we amped up our porch and ways you can get your home dressed up for sweater weather.

First things first, you've got to get the goods! We hit up our favorite local produce stand in the Annapolis Area, Diehl's, for these lush mums, perfect pumpkins and festive hay stack. No local produce stand? No problem! We also have had great luck at Home Depot, Trader Joes, and Whole Foods!  A big tip we have is to layer it up! We used the hay stack to create some height so that there isn't just one big pile on the ground.

We're big texture gals here at Valerie Wheeler Interiors! So when we saw these fun wicker pumpkins at Target we immediately popped them in our shopping carts. Another great thing to play with when dressing up your porch for fall is outdoor accessories like candle lanterns, door mats, wreaths, and benches. Also, don't be scared to mess with asymmetry. We love the welcoming and festive look it brings to the entry of a home.
