Interior Trends That We're Leaving In 2021

Is it just us, or does it feel like this year is FLYING by?! It seems like in a blink, we will be in the throws of the holiday season (not that that's a bad thing, we live for the holidays over here). Just as quickly as time disappears, so do trends, and home interior trends are no exception! Today we're running through the home interior trends that we believe won't be joining us going into 2022!

Shiplap Walls

Now don't get us wrong, we love a shiplap accent wall. But rooms covered in shiplap can be a bit much. We say trade out your shiplap for a grasscloth wall paper like this one from Serena and Lily to add some texture to your space without feeling overwhelming.

Interior Barn Doors

To be honest, we never really got into the barn door trend so we don't mind seeing this one leave. If you're looking for a statement door in your home going into 2022, we suggest creating an arched doorway! Grey Kitchens grey kitchen

Grey kitchen cabinetry was a huge trend for a few years, but we find that they can feel cold when the kitchen should be the warmest and most inviting area of a home! We think earthy tones will be a huge kitchen trend going into 2022. Keep an eye out for deep greens, creamy mushroom shades, and sages.

All White EverythingBeige Abstract 7

From bathrooms to kitchens and even bedrooms, the all-white-everything trend is fading away. Don't get us wrong, we love our neutrals and especially in the bedroom, we like to keep it clean and serene, but we do need a little pop of color in our life!
