One Room Challenge- Final Reveal

Welcome to Week 7 of the One Room Challenge! I am thrilled to be sharing my final reveal with you guys today!! When my powder room caught on fire back in February, I knew I wanted to use this as my opportunity to completely transform the space!!! Remember the sad, crispy before picture?? You can check out more before and the full horror story HERE. Well we went from sad and crispy, to a water damaged white, and finally to this!! Can I just say how much I love this wallpaper? It looks so good from every angle. This room is so small you guys, but this wallpaper just brings so much life into the space that it feels so much bigger now! And speaking of big, I'm having a big art moment with these ballerina prints. They are just stunning in person. The acrylic frames from Highland Hardware were the perfect choice. The way the bolts stand off the wall is so unique. It really does let the artwork speak for itself without competing for attention. I brought in some more acrylic touches with the towel holder and toilet paper holder from CB2. Acrylic is a great way to mix modern and glam. Did you find my last minute switch that I was talking about in Week 6? Yep you got it, the mirror. I originally planned on using a venetian mirror above the vanity, but once the wallpaper was installed I knew I had to let her have her moment. As much as I love my Venetians mirror, they have a presence of their own and I did not want the two to compete for attention. I found this round brass mirror at Target for $49!!! It is the perfect touch of modern and I love that it has those clean lines that really complement the design. And you guys know I love my brass, the room just felt incomplete without it! I like to mix my metals so when I was sourcing the sconce I knew I wanted to pull in the chrome finish from the faucet. Mixing metals is such a great way to make your room feel more collected rather than matched. My only rule of thumb is make sure you use the same metals on the same visual plane.   I can't believe the transformation that has taken place in these 7 short weeks. Who would of thought a bathroom fire at a 3 year old's birthday party could turn into something so beautiful?? This bathroom might be cursed, from the fire, to the leaking drain pipe and then the backordered wallpaper. But some how we pulled it off in the nick of time! A huge thank you to my husband who puts up with all my crazy ideas, my Mom who is a freaking master at hanging wallpaper and my sweet friend Alex Mandato who captured these beautiful pictures!! And another huge thank you to Linda of Calling it Home who has graciously invited all the guest bloggers in on this One Room Challenge. She is the reason your Instagram is flooded with so many stylish spaces today. If you get a chance be sure to head to her page to see the other transformed spaces. The results are INSANE you guys, I'm just blown away by all the talent in the Design Blogger Community. And with that I'm going to leave you with my favorite before and after of all time. Thank you for reading!! xoxo Val
