The Best Kid Friendly Furniture

You know those homes that look so picture perfect that your first thought when you walk in is, "there is no way children actually live here." And then you find out they do and you next subsequent thought  is, "how the heck do they keep this place looking so clean?!" I used to be that person too. The quick judger of clean homes with kids. But with a few smart storage solutions and the right finishes your home can look that good too! There are so many great products on the market now that are stylish and functional for families. Here is a round up of all of my favorite kid friendly furniture to help keep you sane all year long.

Wipeable Stools & Chairs:

Never buy upholstered stools with small children. I repeat NEVER buy upholstered chairs with small children. It's like a built in napkin. As soon as those sticky fingers find a soft surface, every thing they just ate gets smudged on there. It's a fact. There are so many other options to add texture to your seating that don't stain![show_boutique_widget id="797193"]

Washable Slipcovers:

I know the all white sofa is the forbidden fruit of parenthood. But it's not completely out of reach. Invest in slipcovered pieces that are easily spot cleaned or can be thrown in the wash when things get real dingy. It is also smart to invest in extra slipcovers and rotate throughout the seasons to keep things fresh.  [show_boutique_widget id="797197"]

Indoor/Outdoor Rugs:

So many rugs can be used indoors and outdoors! These rugs are super simple to clean and can be flipped when one side gets too dirty. My rule of thumb is to stick to inexpensive rugs in high traffic areas and pitch them every year or so. I swear you save more in the long run than you would having a nice rug processionally clean every few months. [show_boutique_widget id="797195"]
