Trend Watch Wednesday

Did you guys get a chance to check out my top picks for 2018 Design Trends? If not do not fret you can read all about that here.  Really there are a lot of things in design I have been crushing on lately, so I decided it time to bring Trend Watch Wednesday back! Trend Watch Wednesday is something I started way back when my blog was just a baby. Its really just my place to share with you all my favorite pins, inspiration and trends that I think you need in your life. This week's trend watch caught my attention years ago when I saw this pink lady gracing the cover of my favorite shelter magazine. Feathers by Paule Marrot has been on my radar ever since. Now you all know I love a good pop of pink, but you know what I love even more? Vintage art prints. Nothing gets my design juices buzzing more than art work that looks as though its been ripped right out of a sketch book. And that is essentially what Paule Marrot's entire collection for Natural Curiosities is.

Years later this vintage wonder kept popping up in my Pinterest feed, along with some other equally beautiful vintage botanical prints.  There is just something about the whimsy of these pieces that makes each room it graces feel perfectly polished yet approachable. Every room needs its wow moment and artwork is my favorite way to create it. I put together a little guide at the bottom of this post so you can easily shop my favorite vintage botanical prints for your home. Another favorite of mine is the Ferns of Great Britain and Ireland collection. Originally published as a botanist guide in the 1800's the technique used to press the ferns is a work of art in itself. I hope you enjoyed my little art lesson, I'll stop rambling for now and leave you with the pretties. I'd love to know which one is your favorite? Leave a comment below and be sure to follow me on Pinterest for more art inspiration!
