The Coastal Farmhouse Reveal

Welcome to the Coastal Farmhouse! We are so excited to share this home with you. We started with what we like to call a "basic builder" home and worked closely with our client to customize paint colors, lighting, hardware, wall coverings and of course furnishings & decor. With a soft color palette of french blues and grays, we had some fun pulling in different patterns from our favorite textile lines to really give this home some life. It's hard to pick a favorite when a home is this beautiful, but the office that greets you when you first walk in the door is so just darn breathtaking. We might be posting photos of this room for the next year or two! The Coventry Gray built ins not only add function to the room, but gave us tons of styling opportunities to add some personality to the space!Directly across from the office lies the most perfect grasscloth Dining Room we ever did see. Since the Dining room lies within the same sightline as the Home Office it was important to make sure the rooms complimented one another without  becoming a perfect match. This Serena and Lily light fixture sets the stage for a dramatic look with its oversized honey comb shape. But what we can't get enough of in this space is the indigo blue grasscloth. Grasscloth adds the perfect textural touch  in an otherwise simple space. We kept the furnishings more traditional to allow the other design elements in this room space to shine.Behind the dining room lies to main hub of the house. The butler pantry leads to the kitchen with the most jaw dropping custom shades. Did we mention how much we love pattern? The kitchen its self is bright and white, just the way we like it. Allowing us the opportunity to add some punches of color in the breakfast nook.  We styled the kitchen with some of our favorite accessories that will be available soon to a shop near you (spoiler alert!)The Living room is equal parts casual and classy. While the furnishings may be more laid back (for little ones) the formal seating arrangement creates symmetry for entertaining. We chose to accent the fireplace with artwork rather than built ins to keep things clean and let the shiplap do the talking. The blue on gray tones were essential in keeping the living room kid friendly! And the adorable pup really just accents the decor, don't you think? We never leave a hallway forgotten and this one is no exception. Leading to our favorite powder room ever, we layered custom X stools under our client's favorite acrylic console to fill an otherwise empty wall. The Powder bath down the hall is covered in the most gorgeous Schumacher wallpaper. But the acrylic sink base has to be our favorite element in this room! Just so glam![show_shopthepost_widget id="3686081"]Out of respect to our clients we share many but not all sources. We do love sharing our favorite dupes, so check out the picks above to bring a little bit of Coastal Farmhouse to your home! A special thank you to Julie Hove for capturing all the photos and our incredible client for trusting in Valerie Wheeler Interiors while we were still young.
